2021-22 Academy Graduate
Arshjot is incredibly talented. He started playing at Aforza at age 8. It took a few years before he started to take his training and tennis goals seriously, and his biggest challenge was sticking to the fitness and often difficult development programs. His dedication produced success and his most notable tennis achievement was playing in Nationals for Alberta at the age of 14.
The Aforza Academy produces champions, but our ultimate mission is to help our junior athletes train toward the goal of achieving a tennis scholarship to a university or to start a professional tennis career. Arshjot Bhatti is a recent program graduate and is proud to have achieved the former, a scholarship to Edinboro University in Pennsylvania where he’ll be studying Business Administration.
Summer camps and the annual Florida trips will always be a highlight for Arshjot and he says there are too many memorable moments to mention. “I had a great time at Aforza, since the first day I arrived. I always looked forward to going to practice because of how fun it would be to get out with my friends and get better.” His great attitude, determination and hard work has led to great tennis accomplishments here at Aforza and will continue to serve him well.
Coach Jeff Spiers is proud to be a part of Arshjot’s journey, “Arsh’s easy-going personality has been a hit at the academy with both the players and the coaches. Arsh is one of the smoothest players I have had the pleasure of working with. His talent, eagerness to work hard on court and his dedication will serve him well at university down in the US. We will miss Arsh greatly, but we look forward to following his success down south next year!”
The Aforza family wishes Arshjot all the best! To read more about Arshjot and stay up-to-date on his future, check out his alumni profile.
